Ruud Van Nistelrooy yesterday led Manchester United to a 3:0 win against Leicester in his final match as head coach at Old Trafford.

Captain Bruno Fernandes gave the Red Devils a headstart with his 17th minute goal before Kristiansen conceded an own goal in the 38th minute giving ManU a perfect finish for the first half. Coming back from the halftime, substitute Alejandro Garnacho sealed the lead with only eight minutes to go.

The game with the Foxes was the fourth one with interim Coach Ruud Van Nistelrooy at the helm of the team's coaching staff. He was appointed late October after the sacking of former boss Erik Ten Hag. Since taking over, the former Old Trafford star has had a streak of success. His first game against Leicester ended in a remarkable 5:0 win in favour of the Reds in the Carabao Cup. He went on to settle for a 1:1 draw with Chelsea before beating PAOK two goals to nil before Sunday 10th ‘ s match.

Speaking after the match, Van Nistelrooy expressed his willingness to collaborate with the incumbent coach Ruben Amorim. “I want to continue doing that in the future” he said.
